Looking for friendship with women
Hey how are you? Fine I hope. I'm Nick. I'm 5'9", 173 lbs, athletic build and I'm biracial, white and black. It's hard to meet new people from behind bars; to others, prisoners are out of sight out of mind. I'm very social and I cherish lasting friendships and relationships. I believe in loyalty, honesty and reliability. I posses all three and I look for those qualities in others. I listen more than I speak and I am there for others as much as I can be from here, maybe not physically but definitely emotionally.
I deal with judgement because I'm incarcerated, but I don't let that aspect of my life define who I am as a person. I'm loving and caring and I don't let my circumstances and my incarceration dictate every aspect of my life, especially how I treat others. My mom is the most important person in my life and she is there for me in every way. I'm extremely grateful for her.
My family was poor, I joined a gang when I was a teenager and everything I learned from the streets was the driving force behind my poor decision making; those poor decisions led me here. I definitely admit when I am wrong and I definitely made some serious wrong turns in my life. I wish I knew then what I know now.
Anyway, I'm interested in reading writing poems, working out, watching Chicago sports teams, especially The Cubs, going to games, especially at Wrigley Field, watching my favorite T.V. shows: Shameless, Power, The Walking Dead, Hanna, Game of Thrones before it ended, Seinfeld, Martin, The Fresh Prince of Belair. My favorite movie is John Wick3 & my second favorite is John Wick 2 and my third favorite movie is John Wick 1. I listen to all types of music from rock, rap and pop. We have tablets here so I listen to a lot of music on it. I can also email and text you from my tablet through Jpay.com And last but not least, I am interested in you! You may be thinking why should I write a prisoner?? Well you will gain a genuine friend. I really look forward to hearing from you. I appreciate you viewing my profile!
A Poem by Nicholas
Covid 19
From overseas it came, so quickly it spread,
it has left so many hurting, and so many others dead.
Mass confusion and disruptions, uncertainty and pain,
after every newscast, I am left racking my brain.
How could this happen, how could this be?
So unprepared we were, our many vulnerabilities I now see.
Many want to go out and get back to normal life,
but there is nothing normal about this new life,
and staying home is a crucial part of this fight.
To our livelihoods, staying home is not conducive,
but contraction of the virus grows more prevalent by the day.
A vaccine remains elusive and as we are not the experts,
there is nothing more to say.
We all need to earn a living, bills must be paid,
but if you contract the virus how can you earn a living from an ambulance the hospital or a grave?
Lessons to be learned from this are: In life, always prepare for the worst, always let your loved ones know how much you love them, and always put safety first.
On the bright side of all this, we still have great memories from the past, and new memories will be made in the future, because this too shall pass.
